On June 2, 2027, Tame Impala brings the Deadbeat EU/UK Tour 2027 to The O2 in London, with that blurry sweet spot they’ve been shaping since the late 2000s: psychedelic rock built on tight grooves, slow-burn synth layers, and Kevin Parker’s elastic melodies. After making their name with Innerspeaker and then taking a bigger leap with Lonerism, the project has kept pushing a sound that’s both hypnotic and precise, made for long builds, sudden lift-offs, and choruses that land without shouting. Live, it’s less about reenacting records than stretching them out, letting the rhythms breathe and the textures swell until the room feels like it’s moving.
Wet Leg opens the night with their Isle of Wight indie rock that cuts straight through: dry guitars, sharp turns, and vocals that sit halfway between spoken and sung. Since Chaise Longue put them on the map and their 2022 debut locked in their punchy, riff-first style, they’ve become a band that thrives on quick hits, deadpan hooks, and that post-punk snap that keeps the energy restless from the first bar.
