On November 4, 2026 in Manchester, Horse Jumper of Love come to YES to play their 2016 self-titled debut album in full. The Boston trio has always leaned into a slow, hazy kind of indie rock, somewhere between slowcore patience, slacker looseness and shoegaze blur: thick guitars, tempos that take their time, and vocals tucked back into the mix like another texture.
Hearing the debut front to back is a chance to catch what makes their writing hit without big gestures: repeating figures, small shifts, melodies that surface through the saturation. Since forming in 2013 around Dimitri Giannopoulos, John Margaris and Jamie Vadala-Doran, they’ve kept that gentle tension at the core while their later records stretched the palette. This show brings it back to the starting point, with the full arc of the first album played as a single, unbroken mood.
