The Rock Orchestra brings a format to Bremen with "The Rock Orchestra by Candlelight" that does not merely imitate rock and metal classics, but reorchestrates them anew. Strings meet powerful percussion and guitars, all conceived denser and darker than in a classical symphony concert. The project emerged in the early 2020s under the direction of Nathan Reed, building on the idea of the "Festival of the Dead"—just as a concert show in which the ensemble as a collective takes center stage.
On 10 March 2027 at the Metropol Theater Bremen, the experience will unfold as a "by candlelight" production: dimmed lighting, theatrical atmosphere, costumes and visual elements that lend the evening a subtly macabre note. The result lies somewhere between a rock gig, an orchestral interpretation, and an immersive stage show—as a format for everyone who wants to hear familiar songs from a different perspective.
