Big Wreck lands at The Arena in Pickering on October 30, 2026, with the kind of heavyweight rock that’s built on craft as much as volume. Fronted by Ian Thornley, the band’s signature is right there: soaring vocals, thick guitar tones and tight playing that can switch from controlled grooves to bigger, shifting arrangements without losing the thread.
Formed at Berklee in Boston, Big Wreck broke through with the 1997 debut In Loving Memory Of, still tied to staples like “The Oaf,” “That Song” and “Blown Wide Open.” After the 2010s reunion, they pushed their sound further on records like Albatross, keeping that mix of hard rock punch, bluesy touches and progressive turns. The show also comes on the heels of their October 2025 album The Rest of the Story, a fresh chapter in a catalogue that keeps expanding while staying unmistakably theirs.
