Founded in Los Angeles in 1992, Weezer returns to Finland after a long hiatus to play its own show at Helsinki's Veikkaus Arena on June 1, 2027. The Rivers Cuomo-led quartet is among the most enduring names in alternative rock and power pop: catchy melodies, jagged guitars, and a self-deprecating outlook accompany them, even as the band has over the years shifted from straightforward guitar rock to more orchestrated fare and heavier influences. Expect the setlist to include the Blue Album's cornerstones such as Buddy Holly, Undone - The Sweater Song and Say It Ain't So, as well as later-year hits like Island in the Sun, Hash Pipe, Beverly Hills and Pork and Beans. In recent years Weezer has broadened its palette through OK Human and Van Weezer, and released the SZNZ project. Before the Helsinki show, the band continues its tour following the release of the new Weezer album (release date August 21, 2026). Taking Back Sunday will open the evening.
