On September 6, 2026 at Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, Matroda brings his club-first take on house, built at the crossroads of tech house and bass house. Born in Croatia and based in Los Angeles, he’s known for tight, dry structures, heavy low end and grooves designed to lock a room in place. There’s also a melodic sense in the way he builds tension and release, a trace of early training on violin and keys that keeps the tracks from being just functional tools. Whether it’s original cuts or sharp-edged edits, his sets lean into precision and impact, the kind of sound that moves fast and hits clean.
Joining him, Biscits (Luke Jones) lands with a UK-flavoured tech house approach that stays direct: thick basslines, punchy percussion and vocal touches when it serves the groove. Coming out of Southampton and rising through the late 2010s wave of peak-time producers, he’s carved a lane for tracks that are simple, readable and efficient without losing swing. Expect a DJ set that keeps the pressure steady, switching patterns and textures while staying locked on the dancefloor.
