Valtos, a duo formed on the Isle of Skye, brings together Daniel Docherty and Martyn MacDonald around a curious balance between traditional Scottish music and electronic music crafted for the dancefloor. Since their first performances in late 2021, they have built a sound where melodies and Gaelic vocals intersect with house rhythms, with a very strong link to the landscapes and imagination of the Hebrides.
On stage, Valtos likes to push the format further by surrounding itself with a real live band, to give depth to the grooves and to the traditional motifs. Their trajectory has accelerated with releases such as 'Home' or 'Ceòl Dannsa', and a notable presence on the contemporary Scottish scene, between club and vernacular repertoire.
On Sunday, 20 December 2026, Valtos will perform at An Seòmar in Inverness.
