If you’ve been following The Avalanches since their mixtapes or discovered them with Since I Left You, you know what to expect: the art of sonic collage that holds together electronic, hip-hop, psychedelic pop and dance, without ever sounding like a mere patchwork. The Australian duo, now centered around Robbie Chater and Tony Di Blasi, has built its signature on dense, meticulously constructed sampling, capable of chaining disco grooves, chopped vocals, orchestral textures and drier rhythms with a real sense of flow.
After the imprint left by Since I Left You (2000), followed by the comeback with Wildflower (2016) and We Will Always Love You (2020), their approach has opened to airier, more “cosmic” forms, while keeping this manner of telling a story through editing. In Paris, on August 8, 2026 at the Silencio, they come to place this language of mixing back at the center, between a DJ set and an electronic pop journey.
