DJ Seinfeld, also known as Armand Jakobsson, will perform at the Button Factory in Dublin on 18 September 2026. Born in Sweden and now based in Barcelona, he rose to prominence in the mid-2010s with a lo-fi house that is melancholic and rough, nourished by deep house and by an outsider aesthetic that prioritizes texture and emotion. This early period, compiled on Time Spent Away From U (2017), drew attention for its raw tracks, with a warmth that was somewhat hazy. Since then, his production has broadened and become more refined: house remains the heart of the project, but it brushes against breakbeat rhythms, ambient, UK garage, and a more direct electronic pop. Mirrors (2021) marks this shift, with tracks more open to vocals and to song-form writing. In DJ sets, he naturally links these worlds, between house, mellow techno and broken pulses, with a groove that relies as much on melodic intimacy as on club energy.
