Mayhem arrives in Zurich on October 12, 2026 at Complex 457 and brings its long, turbulent history from Oslo straight to the stage. Since the early demos and Deathcrush, the band has shaped the raw core of the Norwegian black metal scene, without resting on it: De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas remains a reference point to this day; later the songs became harsher, more dissonant and experimental, for example on Grand Declaration of War or Esoteric Warfare. Live, the whole thing remains uncompromising and direct, propelled by a presence that relies more on pressure and atmosphere than on stage effects.
As a special guest, Marduk will join the bill. The Swedes have stood for a fast, martial approach since 1990: razor-sharp riffs, mercilessly dense drum work and a rough vocal that drives everything forward. From the 90s classics through Panzer Division Marduk to the later records with Mortuus on the mic, the band has continually sharpened its style, never softening it. An evening for all those who prefer extremes direct and without detours.
