Izia returns to the stage with a tour that traverses her various metamorphoses, from the raw rock of her early days to a more direct and taut pop. Born in Paris, she first established herself in a trio setup, with a dry, tense sound, between garage, blues rock and punk tension, before widening her palette and leaning more toward French, without losing that taste for contrast and for choruses that hit hard. On record, the evolution is readable from one album to the next, but it’s in concert that it all really comes together: a voice that grabs you, a physical energy, and this way of occupying the space as if each track were make-or-break. Between a rock-driven pulse, more synth-infused touches, and more personal songwriting, the concert promises a set that draws from a wide range and embraces its twists.
