On December 4, 2026, Horace Andy makes a stopover at the John Lennon Cultural Centre in Limoges, with The Dub Asante Band and the brass of Matic Horns. Born in Kingston, Andy possesses an instantly recognizable voice, a supple falsetto that has threaded reggae roots and dub since the late 1960s. From classics recorded around Studio One to deeper, leaner productions of the following decades, he has built a repertoire in which melody remains at the forefront, carried by heavy basslines and lyrics often social or spiritual.
Many have also discovered him in another way, when his singing slipped into the trip-hop textures of Massive Attack, from Blue Lines to Heligoland. On stage, the idea is simple: place this unique timbre at the center once again, surrounding it with a live-oriented backing band and brass sections that densify the groove, between reggae, dub and roots vibrations.
