The Rasmus bring their Helsinki-born alternative rock to the Rickshaw Theatre in Vancouver on October 5, 2026. Formed in 1994, the band has moved from early, punchy rock to a darker, more melodic approach that helped them break out internationally with Dead Letters and the hit “In the Shadows”. Since then, they’ve kept shaping that mix of pop rock, hard rock edges and goth-tinged atmosphere across albums like Hide from the Sun, Black Roses, Dark Matters and Rise, while keeping the songs tight, direct and made for the stage. With Lauri Ylönen still at the front, the current lineup continues that balance between big choruses and shadowy textures.
Saint Agnes open with a London-bred blend of alternative metal, industrial rock, post-punk and dark pop. Led by Kitty A. Austen, the band goes for abrasive guitars, clipped rhythms and a sleek, nocturnal vibe that can flip from heavy to strangely danceable without losing tension.
Death Valley Dreams complete the bill, bringing a Pennsylvania indie/alt and synth-rock angle: textured guitars, melancholic keys, and an introspective, late-night feel built around mood as much as momentum.
