Dead Poet Society lands at Digital, Newcastle upon Tyne, on January 29, 2027, with that nerve-wracking alternative rock that sticks to the body. Born in Boston around four Berklee alumni who passed through the institution, the group led by Jack Underkofler advances on riffs, straddling grunge, hard rock and noisier textures, without losing the sense of the chorus. After a series of EPs that put them on the map, they gained momentum with -!- (2021), where the formula tightens and sharpens: heavy guitars, catchy melodies, tight rhythm, abrasive but clear sound. Since relocating to Los Angeles, Dead Poet Society has pushed contrast and openness on Fission (2024), while retaining a direct, live-ready approach. Expect a set that plays with dynamics, alternating between tension and release, and embracing the post-grunge heritage with a very contemporary energy. Special guests have been announced to complete the lineup.
