The Big Moon at Project House
Formed in London in 2014 around Juliette Jackson, with Soph Nathan, Celia Archer and Fern Ford, The Big Moon sits in an English indie rock lineage where nervy guitars, direct melodies, and vocal harmonies occupy a central role.
The quartet began to gain traction on the London scene in the mid-2010s, notably during a joint tour with VANT and Inheaven in 2015, before securing opening slots for The Maccabees, Ezra Furman, and The Vaccines. After the EP The Road in 2016, The Big Moon released Love in the 4th Dimension in 2017, followed by Walking Like We Do in 2020, an album that broadened its writing toward a more expansive pop-rock while staying true to its indie roots.
In 2017, the band members also contributed to Marika Hackman's album I'm Not Your Man. In 2019, The Big Moon supported the Pixies on their British tour. The third album, Here Is Everything, was released in 2022 and adopts a more introspective tone, with writing shaped by the personal changes undergone by Juliette Jackson.
Over the course of these releases, The Big Moon has maintained a cohesive group dynamic, balancing live energy, precise choruses, and a collective approach to singing.
