Anthony Kavanagh returns in a work-in-progress mode with a new one-man show that preserves his DNA: sharp stand-up, gripping storytelling, and a strong emphasis on improvisation. Here, he tests, tweaks, and plays with the audience and with his own momentary obsessions, in a freer form where energy links the jokes, the anecdotes, and the changes of pace.
A Quebecois comedian who has mastered the art of holding a stage, Kavanagh likes as much to tell stories as to bounce off the moment. His humor draws on daily life, relationships, social codes and cultural gaps, with that sense of timing and movement that is part of his signature. An invitation to watch the show come together live, as close as possible to his writing.
