On 5 September 2026, Ghosts of Garage takes back control of the rooftop at Freight Brixton in London for a new session focused on UK garage and its derivatives, weaving smooth basslines, 2-step rhythms, and club energy. At the heart of the lineup, MJ Cole comes to remind us why his name remains associated with the golden age of London garage: a groove science inherited as much from house as from electronic soul, and that melodic sensibility that has threaded through his productions since 'Sincere' and the album of the same name. Producer, remixer and DJ, he alternates between classic and newer angles, balancing effective cuts with more musical sequences, always with studio precision.
Joining him on the bill are DJ Perception, Rich Reason and Chunky, delivering a more upfront approach designed for the dancefloor: garage selections, bassline touches, and back-and-forths between old school and contemporary sets. A no-frills collective night where the emphasis remains on the sound and how it moves the crowd.
