Originating from Villeneuve-d’Ascq and raised in Tourcoing, BEN plg (Thomas Léger) has, from the North, shaped a French rap anchored in reality, balancing street life, introspection, and more melodic bursts. Since his earliest formats and the Ben l’Oncle Rap era, he has sharpened his focus: a direct, precise writing that tells everyday life without flinching. From Pour la gloire to Dans nos yeux, and then Parcours accidenté, he built a solid career before reaching a wider audience with Nouvelle École and tracks such as Mauvaise nouvelle. In recent years, he has released a string of projects, from J’rêve mieux qu’avant to Dire je t’aime, then Paraît que les miracles n’existent pas, while maintaining that same way of presenting clear imagery and catchy lines. He will perform on December 4, 2026 at Krakatoa in Mérignac.
