On March 19, 2027, Kaleo lands at COS Torwar in Warsaw for a date on their «Way Down We Go Tour». Formed near Reykjavik, the Icelandic band has built a sound at the crossroads of blues rock, folk and alternative rock, with a taste for stark contrasts: punchy riffs, acoustic interludes, and then crescendos of intensity that drop back to a more naked melody.
At the center is the voice of Jökull “JJ Julius Son” Júlíusson, at once rough and precise, carrying songs that lean as much on urgency as on restraint. From Kaleo (2013) through A/B (2016) and Surface Sounds (2021), the band has refined this roots-and-electric blend, fed by American influences without losing that sense of tension. On stage, their songs take on a rougher dimension, between emotionally charged ballads and nervy blues rock, crafted to hold a venue from start to finish.
