On November 3, 2026, Dave Lofts arrives at Saint Luke’s & The Winged Ox in Glasgow, bringing this emotionally charged folk-indie sound and a raspy voice that grabs you from the opening bars. An Irish singer-songwriter, he pursues a simple, direct line: very personal songs, driven by a storytelling sensibility that sometimes brings him closer to the great soul-folk writers, without ever forcing it.
A former member of the Irish Defence Forces, Lofts injects into his lyrics a concrete lived experience, balancing fragility, anxiety and the need to stay upright. Initially spotted on stage thanks to covers (Kate Bush, Sam Fender), he quickly established his own songs, where the acoustic and the melody serve an immediate vocal intensity. After a string of sold-out concerts in Ireland and a full British tour, he continues to grow a repertoire tailored for the live setting, already shared alongside artists such as Gavin James, Wolf Alice or Kingfishr.
