Fat Dog head to Limelight in Belfast on 20 November 2026, bringing their London-born electro-punk conceived during lockdown. Initially built around Joe Love before becoming a proper live band, the quintet quickly made a name for themselves without waiting for official releases, thanks to tense and unpredictable performances that circulated rapidly. Their sound catches post-punk and dance-punk on the fly, driving them into a frontal electronic approach and rhythms that flirt with rave. Tense synths, a repetitive pulse, and that sax which can steer the track toward colours almost klezmer: with Fat Dog, they move in blocks, not aiming to smooth the edges. Having been noticed as the opening act for Sports Team, Yard Act, or Viagra Boys, the group signed to Domino in 2023, before releasing the singles King of the Slugs, All the Same, Running and I Am the King, and then the album WOOF. On stage, raw energy and dance intersect, with an unapologetic taste for the offbeat.
