Hot Mulligan brings its North American Fall Tour to History Ottawa (47 Rideau Street, Ottawa) on November 1, 2026. Born out of Michigan’s DIY scene, the band sits right at the crossroads of emo, pop punk and melodic post-hardcore, balancing fast turns, jagged dynamics and those big, singalong choruses that hit even when the lyrics don’t pretend everything’s fine. Across releases like Pilot, you’ll be fine and Why Would I Watch, they’ve sharpened a sound built on contrast: clean melodies against harsher breaks, urgency against more atmospheric stretches, all driven by writing that circles relationships, growing up and mental health.
They’re joined by One Step Closer, a Wilkes-Barre hardcore crew with a melodic edge and an introspective streak, channeling speed, bright guitars and gang vocals into songs about doubt, memory and personal ties. Also on the bill: wakelee, Brooklyn indie rock with emo-tinged tension and taut melodies, built for tight, direct live impact. Riley! rounds out the lineup for a night that moves from nerve and punch to hooky release.
