Rikas bring their indie pop with a soul, funk and surf tint to The Hope & Ruin in Brighton on 29 October 2026. The Stuttgart four-piece work as a true collective: four childhood friends who write and sing together, swapping roles to build layered harmonies, tight rhythms and a sound shaped by group interplay rather than solo spots. It’s a vocal-forward approach that gives their songs an immediate hook and a warm, live-in-the-room feel.

On the road for years across clubs and small venues, Rikas have sketched their path from the early EP Swabian Samba (2018) to their first album Showtime (2019), then the more narrative Short Stories (2021) and Goodbye Sunshine (2022). In 2025, they pushed further with Soundtrack For A Movie That Has Not Been Written Yet, a second album that widened their palette without losing their melodic core.

For Brighton, expect a set that moves across this timeline: familiar cuts, newer pieces from the latest record, and a few rarely played tracks that show their taste for arrangement and shared vocals.
