PJ Morton brings his New Orleans soul to Manchester Academy, Manchester, on 8 October 2026. A singer, songwriter, performer and producer, the six-time Grammy winner moves between R&B, gospel and funk with a keyboard touch shaped in church and sharpened on tour. As Maroon 5’s longtime keyboardist and a collaborator with Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Jon Batiste, Nas, Lil Wayne, JoJo, Yebba and Jill Scott, he bridges pop craftsmanship with Southern grooves and rich vocal harmonies.

On stage, Morton navigates tender ballads and driving grooves, layering warm keys and close harmonies around melodies built to breathe. The set leans into his catalogue from Gumbo, Paul and Watch the Sun to Cape Town to Cairo, the 2024 project he wrote, recorded and produced during a 30-day trip across Africa. He also penned the original song for Disney’s Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, a snapshot of the range he brings live. Expect a night anchored by voice and keys, where New Orleans rhythm meets contemporary soul in a focused, intimate performance.
