Noname brings her Chicago-born blend of poetry, rap, jazz rap and neo-soul to The Opera House in Toronto on August 2, 2026. Raised in Bronzeville’s open mics and slam circles, Fatimah Warner forged a supple, spoken-word inflected flow that sits lightly over warm, elastic grooves. First heard widely alongside Chance the Rapper on Acid Rap, she has since traced her own route through collaborations with Saba, Mick Jenkins, Jamila Woods and Phoelix, and with the trio Ghetto Sage.

On stage, the writing stays at the center: intimate storytelling, political focus and everyday detail carried by understated rhythms. The set draws across Telefone (2016) and Room 25 (2018) through to Sundial (2023), with arrangements that leave space for her cadence and quiet intensity. Lines unfold more like conversation than declamation, slipping from low-key reflection to nimble rhyme, while the instrumentals nod to jazz rap and neo-soul without crowding the words.
