Trumpeter, rapper and sonic wanderer Pan Amsterdam has carved out a distinctive voice at the intersection of jazz and hip-hop.
Pan Amsterdam is a musical project. Its creator is a jazz musician from Houston who has worked with Iggy Pop and Metronomy, and now makes hip-hop in New York.
He is set to release his fifth album of genre-crossing rhymes and beats. His catalogue draws on Black American musical traditions and avoids strict genre conventions.
