Emmanuel Jal, a South Sudanese rapper born in Tonj and shaped between Kenya and Canada, threads East African rhythms into hip-hop with shades of soul, reggae and pop. His writing often draws on lived experiences of conflict, exile and rebuilding, carried by a multilingual flow. From Gua (2004) and Ceasefire (2005) with Abd El Gadir Salim to Warchild (2008), See Me Mama (2012) and The Key (2014), Jal has built a catalogue that bridges rap and Sudanese traditions. Recent chapters include Naath (2018) with his sister Nyaruach and Shangah (2022), keeping his sets open to both groove and storytelling.
Malóne Morez, Cuban-born and Miami-based, drives a house and tech-house sound built on percussive grooves, tight low end and Latin accents. Long known as Malóne, he now signs his work as Malóne Morez while developing WHYNOTUS as both label and party series. His club path runs through Miami, Ibiza, London and beyond, with releases across Abracadabra, Nervous, Elrow and WHYNOTUS, and a 2026 remix of Funky Green Dogs’ Fired Up marking a nod to classic dance music.
