Lots of Hands 2026

lots of hands come to Hafenklang in Hamburg on October 27, 2026. The duo from Newcastle-upon-Tyne — Billy Woodhouse and Elliot Dryden — move between indie folk, bedroom pop and subtle ambient layers. Emerging from Woodhouse’s solo project and having grown together since school, the two now write in close collaboration: exchanged demos, reworked sketches, and then composing together in the bedroom studio.

At the center is their current album into a pretty room (Fire Talk Records): newly recorded tracks alongside unearthed drafts, acoustic guitars, piano and digital flecks. Motifs of loss, departure and letting go run through the evening. Songs like game of zeroes, the rain and masquerade pair simple melodies with fine electronic details; backseat 30 and barnyard mark direct co-writing moments when their voices intertwine.

Live, lots of hands lean into intimacy: loops and delicate motifs, intimate instrumentals for close listeners, whispered ballads occasionally underpinned by light beats. The two alternate between forward vocals and shimmering textures, leaving space between notes and building tension from silence. A focused set that lays bare the core of their songs — intimate, pared-down, clear.
