Neg'Marrons « Le Grand Bilan »

On 28 November 2026 at the 6MIC in Aix-en-Provence, Neg’Marrons return to the stage for Le Grand Bilan, a set conceived as a retrospective on thirty years of their career. Jacky and Ben-J, formed in Garges-lès-Gonesse in the wake of the Secteur Ä movement, forged their identity between rap, reggae and dancehall. On stage, accompanied by their musicians, they recreate the alchemy that marked their records, from Rue Case Nègres to Neg’Marrons, through Le Bilan and Les Liens sacrés. Rap flows, sung choruses, Caribbean echoes and passages in Creole answer one another, with lyrics that mix everyday-life chronicles, outspoken statements and unifying anthems. The live format emphasizes Jamaican rhythms, heavy bass and call-and-response, with an energy shaped for the collective. This concert brings together the duo’s different facets, from flagship tracks to more intimate pieces, and draws a clear line from their beginnings in the 1990s to the present, recalling what makes their sound distinctive in the French hip-hop landscape.
