On 15 September 2026, Cova Santa in Ibiza hosts a Dutch double bill shaped for the dancefloor: Dam Swindle and Makèz.
Dam Swindle, the Amsterdam duo also known as Detroit Swindle, channel house with roots in Chicago and Detroit. Their sets link dusty samples, warm drum programming and elastic basslines, sliding from classic jack to garage bump and broken swing. Layered grooves and soulful chords are stitched into long, fluid blends that move the room without fuss.
Makèz bring a house vocabulary shaped by hip‑hop, jazz and disco textures. Since their early days in Amsterdam’s nightlife, the pair have honed arrangements with a song-like sensibility, attention to drum detail and subtle harmonic turns. References orbit Slum Village, Masters at Work, Moodymann and Theo Parrish, not as quotes but as ways of hearing rhythm and space. Releases on Heist, No Art, Balance Recordings and Classic Music Company jalon their path, with Downstream alongside Life on Planets marking a 2023 step.
Together they map out a night of deep, groove-led house with warm tones and uncluttered lift, tailored to the contours of Cova Santa.
