Schur « The No Shortcuts Tour »

Schur presents The No Shortcuts Tour at the Transbordeur in Villeurbanne on November 11, 2026. Based in New York after a childhood in Connecticut, the musician works at the crossroads of rap, indie pop and alternative hip‑hop. With a guitar in hand since his teens, influenced by Led Zeppelin and by playing bar shows with his band Pampalibros, he later co‑founded Rock Cottage Studio, recorded local artists, organized benefit shows for Horns for Kids and contributed to the Rendezvous festival, which notably featured Felly.

While at Columbia University, Schur immersed himself in contemporary hip‑hop, from records by Kanye West, J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar to those by Logic. He released his first tracks online, including "Gullwing Bravado", and honed a meticulous songwriting style attentive to lyrical structure through singles and The Unsure Mixtape. On stage, he alternates rapped and sung passages, blending clean guitars, melodic productions and rhythms close to rap and modern pop. The lyrics remain introspective, fed by his comings and goings between New York and Connecticut.
