Spite and Emmure land in Glasgow on 27 January 2027 at The Garage. Spite, a US deathcore outfit led by vocalist Darius Tehrani and active since 2014, delivers a dense, percussive sound where syncopated riffs, abrupt stops and restarts fueled by hardcore energy structure the set. From their early EPs to Dedication to Flesh (2022), the songwriting has tightened without dulling the impact, with a taste for sudden contrasts and abrasive guitars. Carried by a highly expressive vocal, the band plays on rhythmic tension and forceful breakdowns.
Formed in 2003 and long based in Queens, Emmure is built around Frankie Palmeri’s voice. The group blends metalcore, deathcore and nu metal with a framework centered on breakdowns, dissonant motifs and cadences close to hip‑hop. The lyrics mix personal narratives, everyday violence and nods to pop culture and video games. With Look at Yourself (2017) and Hindsight (2020), Emmure shifted toward more electronic atmospheres and heavier grooves, while retaining a strongly rhythmic foundation designed for the stage.
