Info
The Tallest Man On Earth, alias the Swedish singer-songwriter Kristian Matsson, brings his acoustic folk to the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver on November 7, 2026. Since the mid-2000s he has built songs around voice and guitar, with brisk fingerpicking, open tunings and lyrics up front. Shallow Grave set the tone in 2008, followed by The Wild Hunt and There’s No Leaving Now, where the writing widened without losing its stripped-back core. Dark Bird Is Home and I Love You. It’s a Fever Dream. introduced fuller arrangements and darker hues, then a covers collection, Too Late for Edelweiss, revealed another side before Henry St. in 2023, created with producer Nick Sanborn.
On stage, Matsson usually performs solo. The set typically moves across albums, from early, skeletal pieces to more recent tracks with broader textures, and he often slips in a few reworked covers. The show leans on presence, phrasing and that taut, percussive guitar style, leaving space for the songs to breathe while keeping the momentum of a folk performance built for a room like the Commodore.
