Loreena McKennitt brings her The Mask and Mirror – 30th Anniversary Tour to the Metropol Theater Bremen on March 6, 2027. The Canadian singer and multi-instrumentalist has moved since the 1980s between Celtic tradition, folk and global tonal colors. On stage her clear, storytelling voice meets harp, strings and an acoustic ensemble that leaves room for subtle dynamics and rhythmic arcs.
At the center is The Mask and Mirror from 1994: songs that narrate journeys, poetry and medieval as well as Mediterranean references alternate with instrumental passages and newly arranged settings. Spanish motifs, Middle Eastern scales and Nordic ballad hues combine into a set that takes up and extends the themes of the album. In addition to the anniversary material, pieces from The Visit, The Book of Secrets or later works may appear — always with a focus on voice, string sonority and precise percussion accents.
