Boston Manor bring their Blackpool-bred evolution to The Mod Club in Toronto on November 6, 2026. Formed in 2013, the quintet has moved from sharp-edged pop-punk to a darker, more atmospheric alternative rock, porté by Henry Cox’s vocals and a writing style that leans abrasive without losing melody. From the early EPs to Be Nothing, then the more brooding Welcome to the Neighbourhood and Glue, the band has steadily widened its palette, pushing textures and dynamics on Datura before opening up again on Sundiver in 2024. Expect a set that threads punk urgency, emo-leaning hooks and tense, cinematic passages.
Ben Quad, from Oklahoma City, complete the bill with a blend of emo, pop-punk and post-hardcore that plays with abrupt tempo changes and interlocking guitars. Active since 2018, the quartet cut its teeth in the DIY circuit before sharpening its approach on I’m Scared That’s All There Is (2022) and the EP Ephemera (2024), then pushing further with Wisher in 2025. Their songs swing between knotty riffs and singable lines, giving the show a restless, high-strung energy that pairs naturally with Boston Manor’s darker shade of alt-rock.
