MEUTE

Techno brass band from Hamburg, MEUTE transposes house and techno into acoustic form. The eleven musicians, led by trumpeter Thomas Burhorn, field brass and percussion to sustain a repetitive pulse—without drum machines. Their repertoire mixes rearrangements of electronic-scene classics—from Âme and Laurent Garnier to Dennis Ferrer, Disclosure and Deadmau5—with compositions released on their albums, from Tumult to Empor. After beginnings focused on covers, the group incorporated original material that broadens their palette and strengthens the collective songwriting. Live, MEUTE stretches structures, sculpts crescendos, moves motifs between sections and establishes a continuous groove designed for dancing. The brass‑band energy remains at the core, but the arrangements are crafted to fill a large hall—precise and collective. MEUTE will be at the Zénith de Paris on 15 May 2027 for a set in which techno is played without machines and the brass carry the beat.
