MUTEK 27’s Nocturne lands at SAT – Société des Arts Technologiques in Montréal on August 28, 2026, with a bill that threads together club pressure, sonic experimentation and AV play: Jump Source, ELECTRONICOS FANTASTICOS!, Zora Jones, Noémi Büchi and Korea Town Acid.
Zora Jones comes from the crossroads of experimental club music, image and performance. Producer, DJ and visual artist, she shapes bass-weight tracks with deconstructed rhythms, pop-tinged edges, processed voices and spectral textures. Co-founder of the Fractal Fantasy platform with Sinjin Hawke, she develops ever-evolving AV shows while pursuing a solo path across EPs like Vicious Circles (Planet Mu) and collaborations with Jlin, La Zowi, Scratcha DVA or Heavee. Her 2020 debut album Ten Billion Angels condenses this approach into physical, unstable pieces where pulse and tension drive constant transformation.
Born in Tokyo around musician and artist Ei Wada, ELECTRONICOS FANTASTICOS! is a collective turning obsolete electronics into playable instruments. Between electronic music, percussion and installation, their “electromagnetic punk” harnesses CRT TVs, fans, barcode readers and recycled objects whose signals and vibrations become rhythm and tone. Developed within the Nicos Orchestra-Lab, the project moves fluidly between art spaces, festivals and experimental stages.
Canadian DJ/producer duo Jump Source take the decks, while Swiss artist Noémi Büchi brings a focused live set. Korea Town Acid rounds out the lineup, pushing the night toward collective energy.
