BIM pays tribute to the music of the forebears of Dahomey. It reflects traditional ceremonies as much as the clubs of Cotonou, from evangelical churches to convents where voodoo deities are invoked.
Combining voodoo rhythms and traditional songs, electronic melodies in a Beninese style, trip-pop grooves, hip-hop and rock, this collective of Beninese artists blends these influences. Benin International Musical performs on 30 July 2026 at 6:30 pm at Fox & Firkin.
