Info
On October 12, 2026 at Whelan’s in Dublin, Arab Strap bring their slow-burning, story-first universe back on stage. The Scottish duo, Aidan Moffat and Malcolm Middleton, have been sharpening this very specific balance since the mid-90s: half indie rock, half nocturnal folk, with discreet electronic shadows and that slowcore tension that leaves space for every word to land.
Expect songs built on Middleton’s melancholic guitar lines and arrangements that stay minimal but never bare, while Moffat’s half-spoken delivery digs into the everyday: awkward intimacy, fragile relationships, nights that go on too long, and the quiet hangover mood that follows. From their early cult records to the more recent chapters, Arab Strap still play it tight and direct, stretching their sound without losing the grit and dry Scottish edge that made them stand out in the first place.
