Yves Duteil

On January 16, 2027 at the Théâtre de l’Étang in Saint-Estève, Yves Duteil presents Chemin d’écriture, an intimate evening focused on his songs. A singer-songwriter since the 1970s, he returns to the essentials: a steady voice, guitar to the fore, a subtle piano, and a thread held between stage and audience where every word finds its place. Between confidences and selected pieces, Duteil moves through a repertoire that has accompanied several generations — from “Prendre un enfant” to “La langue de chez nous,” including “Virages” and “Ton absence,” rearranged as faithfully to the text as possible. Chemin d’écriture also opens the door to the workshop: where an idea begins, how it becomes a song, and what it changes once shared. Here, no artifice — just supple melodies and a pen that tells of everyday life, of passing things on, and of bonds that endure. The evening is conceived as a conversation, where the intimacy of the storytelling blends with the music and where the audience’s responses prolong the echo of the guitars.
