Yaeji DJ Set

Yaeji brings her Korean-American take on club music to Fortune Sound Club in Vancouver on July 3, 2026. Producer, singer and DJ, she weaves slow-burn house, vaporous pop and hip-hop inflections, sliding between Korean and English in a near-whisper. Emerging with the 2016 singles and the EPs Yaeji and EP2, she set a clear line with Raingurl before expanding the palette on the mixtape What We Drew and the album With a Hammer, where song forms meet club momentum and more exploratory textures.

Behind the decks, her DJ sets fold these threads into something direct and fluid: low-slung bass, crisp percussion, patient builds and melodies that surface then dissolve. She often reworks her own tracks, drops remixes and adjacent cuts, and lets space and repetition carry the room rather than overload it. The journey moves between intimate, misty passages and focused dance-floor pulses, with echoes of New York and Seoul scenes and occasional nods to collaborators from indie and pop.
