Info

CityFolk Festival lands at RA Centre, Ottawa on 19 September 2026 with a lineup rooted in folk, indie and Americana.

Of Monsters and Men bring their Icelandic indie-folk pulse, built on the call-and-response of Nanna Bryndís and Ragnar Þórhallsson, steady hooks and airy guitars. Since Little Talks and debut My Head Is an Animal, the band has toured widely and tightened a sound that balances crescendos with quieter, textured moments.

Angus & Julia Stone return with close-knit harmonies and understated songwriting. The Sydney siblings move between folk rock and soft-focus pop, from Big Jet Plane to recent songs from Cape Forestier, keeping arrangements sparse and letting their two distinct voices carry the stories.

Pokey LaFarge folds pre-war jazz, country blues and western swing into lean, contemporary songwriting. From Riverboat Soul to Rhumba Country, his set slips between nimble grooves, roadside vignettes and acoustic interplay shaped by early jazz inflections.

Jobi Riccio threads Nashville twang with indie edges. After a first album, Whiplash, she leans into punchier guitars and plainspoken lyrics, tracing grief, desire and family ties across Western landscapes in songs that feel direct and unvarnished.
