Downward will perform with special guests at Rough Trade Nottingham on Wednesday 9 September 2026.
Formed in 2018 in Oklahoma, Downward are currently composed of Drew Richardson, Tollie Pugh, Hunter Senft and Severin Olsen. The band have released one album and a series of singles and EPs. Over the years, they have characterised their music by drawing from shoegaze, emo and alternative rock while developing their own voice.
Seven years after their self-titled debut, the band released their second album, Downward (LP2). Recorded and produced by Kendal Osborne, with additional mixing and mastering by Corey Coffman, the album features clear-cut rhythmic textures and melodic guitar work.
