Jakuzi

Jakuzi headline Oslo Hackney in London on 9 October 2026. Formed in Istanbul in 2015 by Kutay Soyocak and Taner Yücel, the band stepped away from their earlier punk projects to shape a sound that mixes synthpop, new wave and dark wave. Sung in Turkish, their writing is cool and melodic, carried by post‑punk and disco‑leaning rhythms, and nods to both Turkish pop and krautrock. On stage, this balance turns into tight, nocturnal textures where synth lines, bass pulses and machine beats frame lyrics that oscillate between restraint and romance.

Spotted with Fantezi Müzik in 2016 (reissued in 2017 by City Slang), Jakuzi took their music beyond Turkey, notably across Germany and Central Europe. The path since then has widened without losing focus: Hata Payı in 2019, the EP Açık Bir Yara and Merasim in 2021, then Sür Beni in 2023 and Madalyon 1 in 2024. Over the years, the initial duo has grown into a broader live formation, keeping that tension between minimal electronics and pop formats that defines their identity.

Special guests FEZ and Gloop Unit join the bill, setting the tone before Jakuzi take over.
