Elder Island - 2026

On 18 November 2026, Elder Island bring their hybrid indie-electro world to Uebel & Gefährlich in Hamburg. The trio from Bristol – Katy Sargent, Luke Thornton and David Havard – have operated since the mid-2010s at the intersection of electronica, indie pop, downtempo and a touch of funk. Their hallmarks are smooth grooves, punchy basslines, airy textures and Sargent’s voice at the centre, while the songs build layer by layer. After early EPs came The Omnitone Collection (2019) and Swimming Static (2020), two albums that strike a balance between songcraft, groove and enveloping atmosphere.

Live, Elder Island combine precise, detail-conscious production with palpable club energy. The tracks gain rhythmic spontaneity on stage, hooks unfurling without losing the nocturnal hues of their aesthetic.
