Alien Ant Farm

Alien Ant Farm bring their hybrid of alternative rock, alt-metal and a hint of funk to The Liquid Room in Edinburgh on 4 November 2026. Formed in Riverside, California in 1996, the band made its name on a balance of heavy guitars, melodic refrains and pop-culture nods. Fronted by singer Dryden Mitchell with Mike Cosgrove on drums, they moved from the local indie circuit to wider stages with ANThology in 2001, then leaned further into alternative rock with TruANT in 2003. Up in the Attic followed in 2006, before a return to the studio delivered Always and Forever in 2015 and Mantras in 2024.

On stage, they focus on what defines their identity: chunky riffs that lock into groove, clear melodic lines carried by Mitchell’s phrasing, and Cosgrove’s precise, unshowy drumming. The set connects early cuts with recent tracks, bringing the 2000s repertoire into dialogue with newer material rather than freezing it in time. A tight rhythm foundation underpins guitars that move from punch to melody, with that playful pop-culture angle never far away. This date is a snapshot of a band that still treats live shows as the heart of its story, from the first records to the latest chapter.
