Yaelokre

On 8 October 2026 Yaelokre will perform at Melkweg, Amsterdam. The project of Keath Ósk, a Filipino‑Icelandic singer‑songwriter and multimedia artist, moves between Reykjavík and the Philippines and combines acoustic folk with OPM influences (Original Pilipino Music) and a narrative pop songwriting style. At its center is Meadowlark, an ongoing narrative universe that takes shape through songs, illustrations and simple scenography. Live, Yaelokre immerses himself in that story with costumes and masks that evoke different characters; sometimes solo, sometimes with a band, always with the song and the lyrics in the foreground.

Since 2024 he has been expanding this repertoire: the debut EP Hayfields introduced the framework with “Harpy Hare,” followed by Songs of Origin in 2024 and Origins in 2025, in which the characters and their perspectives are further developed. The music remains compact and melodic, with light arrangements that leave room for voice and story. Previously, Yaelokre opened for Aurora in Manila in 2025. At Melkweg he will lead the audience through the chapters of Meadowlark, with a set that blends folk and pop from different angles and invites the imagination to roam.
