On 15 November 2026 at Thekla, The Grove, East Mud Dock BS1 4RB, United Kingdom, underscores brings her shape-shifting pop to the stage. Born in 2000 in San Francisco, April Harper Grey has built a project that moves between experimental pop and club electronics, threading hyperpop hooks, pop-punk bite, emo edges and indie textures. From the early EPs Skin Purifying Treatment, We Never Got Strawberry Cake and Character Development! to the 2021 album Fishmonger and the Boneyard AKA Fearmonger EP, her writing has tightened around direct melodies and rough-cut production.

With Wallsocket (2023) and its 2024 Director's Cut, she pushed narrative songwriting into a mixed palette of rock, folk, country and shoegaze, framing songs in a fictional Midwest town. On stage, underscores shifts from abrasive guitars to glitchy drums and bright synths, stitching personal stories to punchy rhythms. Also active with the electronic collective Six Impala and under the alias Milkfish, she keeps blurring lines between genres and scenes, delivering a live flow that changes shape without losing the pulse.
