Lime Garden

Brighton-via-Guildford four-piece Lime Garden bring their elastic indie rock to The Grove, Newcastle upon Tyne, on 12 October 2026. Formed in 2017 out of the BIMM scene, the band fold light post-punk tension into surf-tinged guitars, pop-leaning choruses and small disco flashes, keeping the groove nimble and the lines tight. First noticed through a run of singles from 2020 — Surf N Turf and Fever, then Sick & Tired, Pulp, Clockwork, Marbles and Bitter — they’ve honed a dry, melodic writing style with hooks that tilt at odd angles and riffs that cut clean.

Their 2024 debut album One More Thing tightens the frame without sanding down the edges, led by tracks like Nepotism (Baby), Love Song, I Want to Be You and Mother. On stage they lean into contrasts: clipped rhythms against glassy guitars, deadpan vocals sliding over a bass that keeps things moving. The set connects sharp phrasing with a danceable undercurrent, guitars staying front and centre while the melodies circle back with a sly pull. A night for precise grooves, wiry textures and choruses that hang around without making a fuss.
