Gia Margaret

Gia Margaret plays EartH Theatre in London on 10 September 2026. The Chicago songwriter and composer has built a language of her own between indie folk, ambient textures and quiet piano pieces. After a vocal injury pushed her toward instrumental work, she returned to singing with the album Singing, a set shaped by soft piano lines, close-mic vocals and an attention to detail she honed in silence.

On stage, Margaret moves with ease between songs and instrumentals, threading minimal electronics, gentle guitar and piano motifs into intimate narratives. Singing captures that shift in focus: the opening Everyone Around Me Dancing watches the room from its edges; Alive Inside reaches outward like a whispered prayer; Good Friend gathers unexpected colors, from chant to turntables; and E-Motion closes the circle with a tender, clear statement. Her collaborators on record include Guy Sigsworth, Deb Talan, David Bazan, Amy Millan, Kurt Vile and Sean Carey, but live she distills these pieces to their core, letting melody, space and breath carry the stories. A quiet, precise performance that maps the distance between speechlessness and song.
